[Client] Client will not reopen once closed, and upon restarting computer, Client has to update agai

I am currently running League on mac OS Mojave 10.14.2. Whenever I close my client, I become unable to reopen it until restarting my laptop, and upon doing so and opening the client, it says that League is outdated and must update to the newest patch. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
