Disconnected from chat resulted in me not being able to pick champion

I was in a normal draft pick queue when it was my turn to pick my champion. Then I got a notification saying that i had disconnected from chat. I was then unable to choose my champion. So, here i am waiting in my 5 minute wait to queue up again. What the hell?

Happened to me too in ranked last night; lost 10 lp because of this (since I had dodged earlier)
