I am not sure if this is allowed here, so please take it down by all means necessary. I have been playing league of legends for about two years now and have enjoyed it a lot! However, for the past few months I have been experiencing freezing within the game. Anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes into the game it completely freezes and I have to restart my computer. This happens about every other game and it keeps me away from ranked play. My computer isn't great and runs about 60 fps. My connection is generally really good, so I don't think that is the problem. I have looked all over for solutions, but nothing seems to work. If anyone could give advice it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hey skewy,

Any technical issues you may be having should be posted in the Ask the Community sub-board which specializes in these types of issues.

As for FPS issue, have you tried to lower the in-game video settings? As new patches are released, you should always expect slowdowns as your computer ages. Although, if you are running at a peak of 60 FPS, I would suspect that you have V-Sync on which caps your FPS at 60 on standard 60 Hz monitors. Try disabling this setting and lowering all your Video Settings by a bit and see if your FPS improves.

If you continue to have issues with your framerate, refer to the Low FPS Troubleshooting article on steps to fixing/improving your FPS while in-game.

In the event that your game freezes and you are unable to close the game through conventional means, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and open up the Task Manager. Locate the League of Legends process and end that process. This will close the game and open up the client prompting you with a "Reconnect" button.

If game freezes are a frequent occurrence, download and run the Hextech Repair Tool as said by Brucey. When running the HRT, make sure to check the "Reinstall" box and click Start. This will repair any corrupted game files that may be affecting performance.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reply here! ^-^
