Computer/Game freezing after pressing continue on Victory/Defeat screen.

This ONLY occurs in my case when my Ethernet connection drops out, on WiFi even if i DC this wont happen. I play on a somewhat good laptop, fps is always over 80 on high settings. I am also using an Ethernet over power adaptor to supply Ethernet connection to my room. Out of random, i cannot see a pattern nor can i see something this coincides with, my computer when playing via Ethernet will just disconnect, there is nothing wrong with my router when this happens, as i can freely use WiFi. After disconnecting, i cannot reconnect using Ethernet unless i reset my computer, i can switch to WiFi and ill reconnect without a problem. Here is where the problem becomes annoying, if this occurs during a game upon pressing continue after winning/losing the game i will be stuck on the victory/defeat screen, but can still here the post game lobby in the background. I cannot alt tab, all i will see is a black screen with the windows task bar at the bottom. I can press Ctrl+alt+Del and get there Np, after loading task manager ill still see that black screen and task manager will be open but i cant see it. I will screen shot later when this happens again, it is bound to. trying to lock the computer via the button will take an infinite amount of time, as the screen will turn off but the computer doesn't sleep just stays on. Only a restart will let me use Ethernet again even if i sign out and sign back in i cant use Ethernet. I am led to believe there is a problem either with the Ethernet's Network interface card in my laptop, or maybe the power-line adaptor is faulty and causing Ethernet to die somehow. What are your thoughts? I did send a ticket to riot, they didn't seem to understand the problem that i am in, they came to the conclusion that when your internet disconnects, the game doesn't work, like anyone didn't know that.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Kind of frustrating that no one answered this, but to be fair there are many other posts similar to this, none of which have a definite answer...
