PBE reset ?

Soooo after ocassionally logging on pbe to see if the store is fixed,, welp this one time i was booting up the pbe it stopped responding, it said something among the lines of ''we restored to previus version now we are updating to the latest patch'' sooo now i have to update another 15gb ... is this a bug or something ?
