Alright, I have googled the heck out of this and have tried every solution I've come across.

I've used the repair at the log in screen. I've unistalled, used cc cleaner, re-installed. I've deleted the lol patch folder.

I can log in just fine, can use all the features. I can join a que and go through champion select. The second the champ select countdown ends, when it would normally go into the game loading screen the game kicks me out. I'm now being penalized for being afk from games. If I try to reconnect while the game that I had joined is going on I get the same error and booted out. If I reconnect after the game ended I can even see the page with the match results at the end of the game.

It only triggers when I try to go into the game mode. It works fine the rest of the time.

I was playing league just fine hours before this happened. I restarted the computer and since then this error keeps happening over and over again.

I run windows 7 with AVG as my anti-virus. I've checked to make sure AVG is not causing it. What do I do? I've ran out of things to try?

Please help.

I ACTUALLY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS ONE!

It's something you've already checked, AVG. I thought I had checked it too and it seemed to be ok, but I actually had to go into my AVG advanced settings and temporarily disable it for my games to stop crashing upon the load screen. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly in the most recent patch is causing this incompatibility between the software. League and possibly OverWolf are crashing from AVG and I'll keep you updated as I go along. Best of luck to you and see you on The Rift

GiantSoul (EUW) gave the response that worked for me in this thread http://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support-en/Zt7VIUYg-application-crashes-after-champion-select

AVG>options>advanced settings>exceptions Add exception>exception type: folder> [your riot games folder]

That should fix the problem so you do not have to disable AVG to open league, but can potentially leave that folder more vulnerable to threats. Odds are slim, but it's still an exploit.

Your problem is also mentioned and a solution is epxlained in this thread http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support/qbRPHEkO-game-crash-error-code-0xc0000005?comment=0000

Hey Chronic Bud,

We've noticed players running AVG are seeing this error after the new patch. Making sure League of Legends is allowed as an Exception through your Firewall should resolve this issue. Here's a guide that can show you how to allow League to your Exceptions list.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, go ahead and submit a ticket so our Techs can help troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks!

tl;dr? This video by Riot Support is in that ^ guide, walks you through various quick, potential fixes. Explicit instructions for AVG aren't in the video, but at the top of my post
