Does using the 7-day rental on skin shards in Hextech Crafting use up the shard permanently? * /r/leagueoflegends

In hextech crafting I got a WWS thresh skin and I decided that I would use the 7 day rental thinking that I would be able to permanently activate it later. I have found out that I will lose the skin shard. I am very annoyed at this and think that you should at least let the user keep the skin shard after the 7 day rental because what is the point in me getting a skin trial if I was just going to lose the skin. I at least think that you should put a warning saying that you wouldn't be able to get the skin back. Please tell me if there is anyway that I can get the skin back because WWS thresh isn't available in the store.

It should confirm if you want to rent or not and warn you about how it'll be gone permanently.

I wouldn't mind seeing a One Time One Day rental so people can "Test out" skins.

i got toboggan corki and i wanted to try it out befor i get enough essence to get it but i had no idea i would loose the skin please change it riot

They said it in advance, I mean, that your skin shard will be gone if u use it for a 7-day rental so it's not an "issue"

Yea found that out the hard way too. I assumed i could rent the skin out to try it out if i liked it then would proceed to unlock it if i did.
