Mac Client crashes and doesn't reconnect.

Up until the most recent patch, 4.17, there were little to no client crashes I experienced on my mac. However, once patch 4.17 came a long I noticed a much more frequent rate of error. The game crashes and bugsplat pops up at least once a game and it's usually during the time where I am praying the most it doesnt happen, teamfights. Once the game crashes when I try to reconnect the screen goes black and I can't command + tab out. I try clicking and pressing keys but all it does is go boop. This forces me to restart my computer by holding down the power button. This needs to be resolved as soon as possible as this makes playing league very frustrating and almost not worth the effort.
