An unknown DirectX Error has occured [Crash]

Greetings. It would seem that I am being bamboozled. Whenever I try and connect to a game the following error message appears and the game subsequently crashes:

"An unknown DirectX error has occurred and League of Legends cannot start. Please make sure your video card is using the latest video drivers from the manufacturer."

Closing the error window in any way will simply prompt me to reconnect and experience this crash once more. I was able to locate a thread that had a similar issue however none of the fixes mentioned there have solved the problem. I have tripled checked that all of my Video Drivers are up to date. I have tried re installing the game after uninstalling, and the issue persists. Any assistance would be very appreciated.

I am having the same problem since last night (yes, that's on 7.9) and on 7.10. I've installed the latest video drivers as well. I crashed trying to get into 3 different games and got slammed with a Leaverbuster warning saying I was getting kicked to a lower priority queue because of it.

Just an update, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again today, unfortunately the bug still persists. I am going to continue looking for a fix in the mean time, if I find one I'll post it here :)

Okie dokie, So Riot has a thread that addresses the issue. Apparently it is a bug in the latest AMD patch I'll link to the thread here:

Just follow the link provided and it should fix the issue :) Thx for addressing this so swiftly Riot !
