Mac client shift key bug

Hi, so I know there have ben a few threads about it already but I'm getting really really sick of this damn bug. For some reason at random points in the game I'll be unable to level up skills, buy items from the shop, recall, open the menu, open the scoreboard, and my character cannot do anything except attack move. I am aware that this is to do with the shift key being 'stuck in' or something, but whenever I've tried holding it back in as people suggested, it often takes far too long to fix, and I'll be at a disadvantage from that point on. This is an absurd bug, and I don't know how the hell they managed to create it (since, as far as I'm aware, this only started being a problem in the patch before last) but I would really like BOTH a quick fix solution for when it happens, and Riot Games to get their act together and sort out such a stupid problem. Thank you.

I have been experiencing this bug for the last couple weeks pretty regularly. The solution I found (quick fix) is to open the "all chat" chat window (Shift+Return) and then attempt to hit escape. If escape brings you out of the chat window the "stuck in shift" will do away. This does not always work but I have been using this to quick fix it during games. If this solution does not fix it the next best thing I have found is quitting the client and reconnecting to the game but this way sucks and you forfeit at least a minute of the game. If the quick fix didn't work I would be unable to play ranked and before finding the quick fix I wasn't.

Bug Details: Possible Cause - From my experience this seems to occur most often after having type in chat (not sure if it has to be in "all chat" or not). However, I am fairly certain it has occurred without typing in chat. .

Things I have tried - For any rioter reading this, repairing client doesn't work, restarting computer doesn't work. It is not my keyboard as it is happening to others (my brother on his computer as well and others seen here). This has occurred easily up to 3 times in a game but sometimes I can get through a whole game without it happening

Bug Appearance - This bug only seemed to appear in the last patch (patch 5.7). My hopes are up that this will go away on next patch release.

Isn't there a bit of an ordinance to bump a thread than create another one?

This has been affecting me for a while now, and the only way to fix it that I have found is to reload the client completely. Of course this has led me to lose games, since being down one player for a couple minutes late game can mean GG.

I've also been stuck with it...twice today, which is either a frustrating coincidence or an alarming increase in frequency.
