ive had times where it just refuses to lock in regardless but that was a few months into the clients release

We don't talk about those first few months.

I've never had this bug happen to me, except maybe back when the client was in beta. If it has it hasn't resulted in a dodge simply because I didn't wait until the last possible second to lock in, so I had time to click the box then select my champion.

Maybe OP needs to waste people's time less o3o

the lock in has like 5seconds leeway after the timer runs out too so he was extra indecisive

Nope.. Button was grey from the beggining.

Nope.. Lock screen was grey from the first second the timer started.

No.. The "Lock in" button was grey and i couldnt click it even when I had 20 seconds. I tried locking in another champ but it had the same result.. When it went to 0 this appeared.

Um, this is not apparent with your screenshot. If you have selected a champion, you will not appear as if you did not select a champion. A more convincing screenshot would be if you had a champion selected but the lock in button was grey. Other than that, we would need a video as evidence for this and it is likely a specific problem that happened with your set up and everything since I have never had this problem before.
