Random strange lines on my screen *Don't really know how to describe..*

So recently while playing, I've been getting some terrible lines of colour that are more or less being dragged from their original area on my screen? I can't really describe it very well but I have photos and videos and I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue as me, and maybe how to fix it? It's really tilting to play with this shit lmao. I've checked my graphics card a bit, though not very thoroughly, and have restarted my computer. Help is very much appreciated :D

*Disregard this channel lmfao Also very sorry for poor video quality, just recorded it with my phone. You can hopefully see what I mean though when you watch it.

It looks like some screen tearing to me. Do you have V-Sync enabled? You can go in-game (practice tool) and click esc > video > scroll down to advanced and make sure "Wait for Vertical Sync" is checked then save/okay. Lowering your graphics may help and I would look into updating your graphics card drivers, you can find your graphics card name/brand by pressing the windows key and R at the same time, type dxdiag in the box and then when that opens click display and it will tell you there what card you have. https://image.prntscr.com/image/4x_cO6yQQa_K9sV_pBnwUQ.png

You would then go to google and search ___ drivers (example: nvidia geforce gtx 560 ti drivers), just make sure you go to the official websites for these.

Unless you are using a different operating system, in which you will have to do some research because I only know windows :D

Update your video card drivers, if you recently updated them roll them back.

I had this happen to me before, cant quite remember but I think it was right before my video card died and I had to replace it.

Of course other things were happening then too (like the bottom half of my screen showing on the top and the other way around), but I seem to remember that happening around then, could have been a coincidence though.

So how long would a video card driver usually last? I bought a laptop with a decent one from what I know and I've had it for about a year and a half. Would now be a good time to replace it?
