"LoLClient.exe has stopped working..."

So I hop onto League. And it takes a while to log in. I don't think anything of it, maybe its just a busy day on League. But then, once I log in, I start randomly disconnecting from the pvp.net client... For no apparent reason. I don't think much of it, maybe its just a bug that will smooth itself out once I get into game.
So I go into a ranked game. I am about to pick my champion, when all of a sudden, my League client stops working. This has happened multiple times, and I am now facing a 30 minute ranked ban because of this issue. Is this happening to other people, and if so, Riot, what are you guys doing to resolve this?
