Contradiction and Confusion

I was logging into league after a nice rest and it pops me into a game loading screen. OK unusual but I'm sure it'll close itself. It attempts to connect and comes up with a "failed to reconnect" popup so I hit cancel and proceed to login but it tries to make me reconnect to a game I never started or no one else started so its trying to make me connect to a game that doesn't exist. More simply; I can't resume play league for the client tries to connect me to a game that doesn't exist but still thinks that game exists so its a loop of attempting to get the client to work properly and having it try to connect me to a non-existent game. I've tried restarting the client and my computer and are at a loss for what to do next. Any help is appreciated
