Irregularly high ping for NZ players

So basically, I average 42 ms nearly every game. I play in NZ on OCE servers, but today I have been consistently getting 194 ms instead. A lot of other people I've played with have said their ping is higher than usual, and when I ask them all of them have said they are based in NZ. My AU friends haven't had any issues with their ping. My connection is fine on everything else, and speed tests show that my internet is operating normally. Pretty sure somethings gone wrong at riots end, but are there any quick fixes? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

3 friends and I also have this issue. Playing in the Wellington area, average 46ms normally but getting 119 ping and friends getting 199.

They know it's Waitangi Day tomorrow for us, so they wanna ruin our day off by giving us high ping, obviously.

Yeah me too (also in NZ playing on OCE server), I usually have a ping of 50ms but now it's at a constant 130ms. I haven't changed anything with my ISP or my router/modem so pretty sure it's nothing on my end. A bunch of my mates, in the same area as me, are also having the same issue. Might send a ticket to get some attention to it because idek if they know anything is wrong. Hopefully there's a quick fix for it, yawn.

run tracert (commandline) to the OCE server, see where the holdup is. It could be a local ISP fucking up, or could be the server itself.

same bro im from nz i got 200 ping constatnly i used to get 20-30 and im in ranked game i lost :( im on spark to my friend on spark has 200 ping to

I play normally on 28-36 ping and it has drastically increased to 180-300+ All of my friends in Nz are experiencing the same thing. My connection is fine on everything else, and speed tests show that my internet is operating normally, none of my AUS friends are having a problem either. Please sort this out as quick as you can riot for our day off tomorrow :) summoner 4

Not just LoL. All games for our whole house and our friends. Seems to be a New Zealand routing issue at the moment, I suspect due to the Australian fires.

can confirm me and my 3 friends who all play from wellington and I are all experiencing this.
