League crashes on startup

Hi guys, I recently switched from my old laptop to a mac desktop. I downloaded the league installer for mac, but immediately after I try and start the application, I get a warning message say that league quit unexpectedly. There is a reopen bubble on the message, but nothing happens when I click it. Any help would be much appreciated as I REALLY want to get back to playing
