Yasuo's passive (not sure if this is a bug or not)

I was playing Lucian and I was under tower the enemy Yasuo had his passive up and he proceeded to tower dive me. I auto attacked him breaking the shield from his passive and then I died, he eventually died to tower but it was an execute rather than me getting a kill. Not sure if this is a bug or that is how Yasuo's passive is supposed to work but I feel it shouldn't have been an execute and I should have gotten the kill there, so yeah weird interaction overall.

all shields work this way, you proc'd shield but didnt break it so therefor you did not damage yasuo

Basically what the other guy said, damaging any shield doesn't grant you the kill because u technically didn't damage the champion(therefore damaging a shield also doesn't stop recall)
