Yasuo's passive (not sure if this is a bug or not)

I was playing Lucian and I was under tower the enemy Yasuo had his passive up and he proceeded to tower dive me. I auto attacked him breaking the shield from his passive and then I died, he eventually died to tower but it was an execute rather than me getting a kill. Not sure if this is a bug or that is how Yasuo's passive is supposed to work but I feel it shouldn't have been an execute and I should have gotten the kill there, so yeah weird interaction overall.

all shields work this way, you proc'd shield but didnt break it so therefor you did not damage yasuo

I don't think so , had time as Lux and a low hp Rakan dove me , he wanted to r w then run with e , I auto attacking him as a mage , his shield didn't break , didn't use any spell on him , he died with 3 tower shots also , I think Exhausting someone who is gonna die to tower gives you kills right ? maybe but Exhaust does no damage

i repeat all shield work this way there are multiple threads on this try it out with a friends janna shield someone auto them once not breaking the shield then walk into a tower

Basically what the other guy said, damaging any shield doesn't grant you the kill because u technically didn't damage the champion(therefore damaging a shield also doesn't stop recall)
