Updated Video Card now league wont open

Basically I updated my Video Card because it was a 2011 version (I know, right?) for Planetary Annihilation and now when I go to open league the League of legends graphic pops up, the one before the launcher actually opens while it's loading, then immediately closes, the process shows up on task manager but only very briefly before closing. I can only get it to run that far with run as admin, running it regularly bares no fruit and even now when trying to verify that it shows up on task manager by running as admin it wouldn't open, it's very unpredictable. I have the recommended driver directly from the AMD site, no third party junk. Also, I should note that I re-installed it last night and got it to work just fine but since then shut off my computer and now it's not working again... :/

Also, I noticed I have 4 instances of PvP.net user kernel open now after trying a couple times, I tried closing them and starting it again but with the same results a user kernel opens and the game fails

Are you launching it from a shortcut you pinned to the taskbar, or the regular desktop shortcut?

I had this issue when trying to run it from the taskbar. In the shortcut properties, I found that the target for the one on the desktop was different than the one on the taskbar. I changed the taskbar shortcut target to match what was on the desktop shortcut, set it to always run as admin, and now it works again.
