Client not launching

My client tries to open and it looks like it is trying to update but the bar beneath the League of Legends logo gets halfway and then the logo closes.

I just disabled it, and my game launched... Fail. Thanks man!

I tried disabling it and still nothing. Any idea?

That works for now, if it comes back, here is what to do:

  1. Launch Avast! UI
  2. Go to scan->scan for viruses
  3. At the bottom there is a 'quarantine'
  4. Select the last "Lol*ux*" file and hit "restore and add to exclusions"
  5. Close Avast! UI
  6. Start LoL.

NOTE: * is a wildcard and not a literal string. For example, LolUpdateUx.exe would match.
