When i get ulted by malz, i try and use cleanse, but it will not let me use the summoner's ability. i played Ezreal when i first discovered this, and later played kog mah, to confirm that it was not just with ezreal. this seems to be a bug. if it is not, and cleanse should not be able to remove malz ult, then i strongly think that it should :)
Malzahar's ult is a suppression CC. Cleanse, the summoner spell, cannot remove Suppression CC. Only the Quicksilver Sash >> Mercurial Scimitar can do that.

Or an ally needs to use Mikael's Crucible on you, OR you need to be Gangplank and eat oranges.

You need a Quicksilver Sash to remove a Suppress (same with Warwick ultimate).
Not a bug. If it did remove his ult, there would never be any reason to pick him.
When did cleanse stop removing supress?
