Morgana bind doesn't stop Renekton dash

I was playing as Morgana against a team that had a renekton. I got ganked and my health dropped very low but I was able to escape and start moving back towards the tower, waiting for my bind to come back up. It came back up, I fired it, it hit Renekton right as he used his dash. He was then able to dash towards me anyways and kill me with his Q.

Here are a couple of particulars that I remember (I dont really have a way to test, so if someone could that would be appreciated) -The bind hit at the very beginning of his dash, so he was almost the entire length of the dash away from me -The bind animation was around him while he was traveling the rest of his dash

In my mind how a bind should work, is as soon as it makes contact with a targets box, the bind and therefore the champion should then be anchored to that location.

Let me know if I am in the wrong on this, but I think this needs to be fixed.

There is just an instant of delay on I believe all dash and flash abilities. If you hit them with your bind during this delay, the dash/flash takes priority and activates anyway.

To rephrase, Morgana's binding stops dash and flashes from activating. Due to a slight delay on most movement abilities, there's a chance for the dash/flash to have already technically activated by the time the binding hits. In other words, the Binding can't stop it from activating because it already activated.

This happens to more than Renekton, when players use a jump/dash. It's intended, most likely to prevent you from stunning champions in the middle of a wall as they jump over it, and getting stuck there. You see it a lot with Tristana; she'll activate her Rocket Jump right before getting hit, and will proceed with her jump.

Keep in mind that the stun/root effects persist for their full duration, so the player will be unable to act while they're stunned (even though they don't appear to be stunned since they're flying through the air), and/or will be rooted after they reach their destination if the root time is still going.

In that case maybe riot should think about a change to the dash mechanics. It gives it a rather large advantage in my opinion. If you see your root land, you are expecting it to work and follow up with other abilities. If I had continued running I would have survived, but I turned to finish off renekton expecting him to stay where the root hit.
