[6.1] Hecarim's E (Devastating Charge) has many more bugs than expected. Champion Breaking.
Before any introduction, here is the video.
A few days ago, after the release of Patch 6.1, [A post made it to the front page concerning a bug with Hecarim's E+R interacting together.] (https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/41qwej/hecarims_win_rate_is_low_because_of_a_bug_not/)
Hecarim's E (Devastating Charge) was found to have a bug when interacting with his ultimate in that if Hecarim were to start charging his E, and then were to use his ultimate before using the E's empowered auto attack, the E would cancel and disappear.
As a dedicated Hecarim main though, I continued to play him through this adversity, and quickly found there was a lot more than meets the eye to this bug. What initially caused me to look into this in detail was noticing my E get cancelled by an enemy Xin Zhao Ultimate
After some extensive bug-testing with my girlfriend and some friends in sandbox mode customs games, I found that any form of disruption, displacement, or knockup (Including an allied Thresh's Dark Passage) inflicted upon Hecarim will cancel his E (Devastating Charge) with no return.
As I've played hundreds of game on the character, this bug was painfully apparent after just a few games, but may be more obscure to others. While it's difficult to find a clear example of Hecarim continuing his charge after being CC'd due to Hecarim's all-in playstyle, I did find one good example of Saintvicious getting cross-sectioned by Syndra and Blitzcrank CC while charging, yet still able to utilize the attack after regaining control in this brief clip.
I hope this video highlights and contributes towards the fixing of this champion-breaking bug. Thank you for watching and reading.
tl;dr: Hecarim's E gets cancelled by any non-right click movement, including his own ult, thresh lantern, and all enemy displacement
