[Crash] Connecting to game

So, I wasn't sure what category this was in so I just put Crash. Anyhow, I'm having a weird issue where after champion select the LoL logo would pop up prompting the transition to the loading screen, however, it's literally just the logo sitting there while I wait 5 mins and decide to relaunch the game. It takes me generally 3-5 relaunches for me to actually get in game. I'm not sure why this is occuring but I do know that it started after the most recent update. Could someone please explain this to me and help me out.
