High ram usage

During a recent game, my fps reached as low as 3 fps and was constantly below 6. Looking for an answer, I looked at my task manager to find that League of Legends was using 1,500+ MB of RAM. If anyone knows what could have caused this, please let me know as I reset my game twice only to have my computer crash and restart. After restarting it did go back to normal though.

Sometimes all it needs is a restart to fix, but if you continue to have this issue try the following in order if each does not help;

Client repair, done by clicking the question mark on top right of the launcher
Force a repatch, steps found here
Clean reinstall

You can use the Hextech Repair Tool found on this page for an easy method of doing these.
