Lux E Will Not Recast

During a ranked game, had a very strange bug come up, nearly cost me the game. I threw out my E as normal, and when I did, the bomb did not set, I didn't see it actually land at all. When this happened, the ability changed over to the typical Recast for detonation. Here's the problem:

IT WAS STUCK IN THIS STATE.

The ability was now no longer able to activate at all, and stayed grayed out through the entire game. I'm unsure what caused this bug, but it screwed things up pretty bad. Some of my major damage, let alone a huge CC, is completely gone for the rest of the game. It made a huge dent in my ability to finish the game. But I am hoping that delivering this across can hopefully prevent such a bug in the future. I included the link to the game in which it occurred, to hopefully shed light.
