Zac ultimate bugged

I am a main ZAC and for the past month or so his ultimate has not been working properly. About 90% of the time i use his ultimate, lets bounce, against non AI characters it wont scoop people up when charged to green, it will simply explode as if i just tapped the button. I have tryed using it in the practice toolkit map and it works 100% of the time against enemy AI champs and the teemo dummy thing. I have sent numerous bug reports to riot but am still unconvinced they even recognize this as an issue. This is such an important part of his kit that i cant really play him in ranked because i would be handicapping myself. does this happen to anyone else?
