Four times in a row now after I click the accept button and go into champion selection, it's just a black screen, but I can hear the timers counting down and whatnot. This just started happening to me today. Very upsetting because I wanted to play a lot of league today and now all I'll get to do is get cooldowns and frustration.
YES. SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME. Frustrating because I was in ranked queue and it only fixed itself after having me afk dodge the champ select :T
I've been having a similar problem. Not exactly the same but similar. I hit accept and then the game takes forever to actually load champ select; I can still see my friend's list but the main client is just black. :/ It only started after the most recent patch; before I never had issues loading into champ select.
This same thing just happened to me I had been Qing fine then the last ranked i Qd up for I had a black screen and ended up being forced to dodge

Yes this occurred for me as well at 12:13 am, sound is still available, hitting alt + F4 will pull up the warning screen but doesn't load the normal splash screen.

I FOUND THE CURE TO THIS :
it has to do with how many friends you have on your list, I have close to 300. Delete about 200 of them and it will start functioning a bit better. This is because we can see our friendlists inside of champ select

This same thing just happened to me a lost 19 points ... I'm 1 lose to demote since as 3 on the 2 on the row... So if i lose i get demoted were i get refund point's riot!

Yah i just got one today but i was in ranked in my promos and waited bout 5 minutes to see if it'll reconnect i left and it gave me a loss 1 more game left to see if i can still win my promos (was 2)
HAPPENED TO ME, DELETE ALOT OF FRIENDS AND IT SHOULD FIX, LOST A PROMO GAME CAUSE OF THIS >:( BETTER GET SOME COMPENSATION
Same thing here, 6 minute timer and a loss and then a 30 minute timer with another loss
Same thing just happened to me. Never once happened before. Just forced to sit there and listen to the countdown to lose 3 LP for this shit. Would have gotten exactly enough LP for promos. Now I have to play at least one extra game, and I'm on the dodge timer. Client went perfectly back to normal after it kicked me out of the lobby, too.

same happens for me. the black screen lasts about 5 seconds before everything pops up like normal. Seems to happen every game since the new patch. I have about 150 friends, since someone mentioned that possibly being related.
lots of people suffer from this riot needs to fix it

Edit: The black screen doesn't last only 5 seconds for me. It lasts until I get afk'd out. I also don't have many friends on my list.
Same thing, forced me to dodge a ranked, could hear the countdown, but just an unclickable black screen.
Mine clears up after about 30 seconds, but Blind is basically disabled for me and sometimes I get dodge penalties for draft if I'm first ban.
This happened to me as well last night. It didn't clear up and it forced me to dodge :(

Indeed dude this sht ruined my Friday Night Game Mood yesterday!! Me and my frnds wanted a good 5 v 5 flex but ofc Riot doesnt want people to have fun they want players to suffer from trolls brain deads and trolls none the less these glitches as well ..... #GrowupRiot
