Regarding Fiddlesticks in current patch as of now(Gameplay) Flashing and Ulting

I recently played two games of Fiddlesticks, yesterday and today. When I was prepping my ult, I had my key on Flash but when I did it immediately, my ult was cancelled. I'm not sure if this was a bug caused by the recent halt on the usage of Fiddlesticks or is an aspect of the game but I would like to get it confirmed. Thanks!
