Gnar makes my Ping Skyrocket

I just acquired gnar. I love the guy; he's my favorite champion to play. However, EVERTIME I play him I have to deal with a ping of around 400+. At first I thought it was just your average ping spike but i played games without gnar and had a ping around 39-45 for most of the game. But once I lock in gnar the ping starts around 127, waits till I engage my enemy (like Illaoi or Garen) and freezes. When the game catches back up I have lost a good chunk of health (or I'm dead Q_Q) and my ping shows somewhere around 1100+ then starts going back down and stops around 300-400. then it stays there for just about the remainder of the entire game. Help?

I have been having ping problems since patch 5.24 so I don't know what is going on :P

Ping is a measure of how long it takes your computer to talk to Riots server, their server to process it, and then for them to reply to you. If Gnar was causing ping spikes for you, then it could only be an issue with Riot's servers, but that would effect everyone playing Gnar, not just you.

The only thing that makes sense is that it's a fluke that it happened while you were playing Gnar.

I'm with the guy who said he's been having issues since patch 5.24. I have high ping in general no matter who I play but if an Illaoi is in the game, especially in my lane, my game freezes every time she gets a third tentacle out.

Maybe they will do us a favor and disable him for a few months.
