Freeze During Champ Select

At least once per day, my client freezes while in a lobby and I'm unable to make a ban or pick. Forced to restart the client, i log in and attempt to queue again only to find that I've been docked LP and given a lengthily dodge timer. Knowing this could happen at any point makes me feel like i shouldn't even bother playing this game if they cant fix as simple a problem as this, which has been ongoing since this new client was made mandatory. Am i the only one with this issue, and if not how the f**k to I fix this because its honesty the most infuriating thing ever.
