Children of the Graves and Ignite won't work

Just a few minutes ago, my team and I were trying to slay the baron. We almost had him too. However, I was unable to use Children of the Graves and Ignite and we all died. We ended up losing the match since our team members were on death count . Anyone know what's going on?? This has happened more than once which resulted in my death.
