League of Legends Client is too laggy

in the later part of Season 8, I have noticed that the client has been extremely laggy and I have no idea why. I have lost 2 ranked games because of this. I have already used the Hextech Repair Tool three times and even tried re-installing league of legends. If anyone from Riot can give me a reason why it is so laggy, a way to fix it, or if it is being worked on, then please respond ASAP. :D

I've been banging on about the client turning ever more CPU dependant for months, even having had to OC to keep the performance fluent (i7 3770K @ 4,30 GHz). Note that this is a problem exclusive to this game for me (OS and games on SSDs, 32 GB RAM, EVGA GTX 1080).

...I got downvoted to oblivion to even daring to suggest it's a client-side hardware problem.
