[Client] Not getting Hextech Chests with S ratings

A few times now, I have been on winning teams where a team-mate got an S rating. Yet, despite having chests to receive, and not yet getting chests on those champs, I did not receive a chest. In the example screenshot below, I played Lucian, who I do not have a chest with this season. A team-mate got an S - rating, yet I did not receive a chest.

One chest per champ. If you already have an S on lucian you cant get another chest. And that teammate needs to be partied to get rewards.

I've gotten chests without partying before. As for Lucian specifically, haven't gotten a chest yet on him.

If 3 people reply the same thing you should probably revisit your knowledge. You need to be partied with the person who got the S.

I understand, and maybe I'm remembering wrong. I just know I've gotten two chests before without a pre-made party.

Then that'd be the bug. Re-read the hextech crafting release notes and you'll realize.

Were you in a party with that Diana? If not, then that's why. You need to be in a party with the teammate who gets an S rank; it can't just be any teammate.

It's possible to get chests without partying if you yourself get an S rank. However, if you don't get an S rank and a teammate does, then you need to be in a party with that teammate to receive a chest.

You need to be in a party with the person, not just have them on your team.

Yes, you can also get them if you get an S on the champion you played.

One chest per champ, per season.

If someone in your Dynamic Q gets an S, you will also get the chest for whatever champ you are playing. Having a random teammate with an S will not get you a chest.

EDIT: Some of those builds are making my eyes bleed.

You don't have to be in a party with them, and i have had this happen to me as well when i put in a ticket the person told me i must have been mistaken

Yes, you do need to be in a party with them. If someone on your team gets an S rank and you don't, and you are not in a premade party with that teammate, then you will not earn a chest. That is how it is intended.

** If someone in your premade group earns an S rank**, you’ll receive a chest as well! The chest you receive is tied to the champion you’re playing, so that champion will be unable to earn more chests for this season.

Straight from Riot's support page on the Hextech Crafting topic. Just click the "Hextech Chest" button at the top, and it will be the third bullet point. It does not say "if someone on your team earns an S rank," it says "if someone in your premade group earns in S rank."
