Runes not applying

I recently played 2 games as Gangplank, and to my dismay I realized that my %Crit dmg runes weren't applied. The first game i brushed it off at the beginiing of the game when i had 0% crit, where normally i'd have roughly 13%. Went to my runes page made sure they were installed into the page by re-adding them and then saving it. Tried out another game and still had 0% beginning of the game and didnt receive any of the runes crit chance throughout the rest of the day. Sad day

To clear things up I'm talking about the "+4.46% critical damage" from the "Greater Quintessence of Critical Damage"
