Can't change my quote on friends list thing

I can't seem to change my qoute thingie. It's always worked, but now when I click on it, it does not allow me to change it.

That's no longer where you set your status message. Click on the gear icon next to the words "Friend List" and it will extend a dropdown display. "Public Status:" is where you can change that message.
