Critical error since patch

Today there was a new patch. every since the download I can not play a game - champion selections works, all fine, once the game cuts to loading screen I will get a system error

"A critical error has occured and the process must be terminated"

Yesterday game was running fine, so there is no doubt, patch has caused it.

Instructions on fixing this issue would be welcome.

EDIT: Todays patch fixes the issue.

Note: they should have also implemented into the patch to remove anyones leavebuster, I have to wait 20 minutes for each game.

Like the majority of the people here, i'm on XP too, and i'm pretty sure that it's the reason behind it. What you can do guys is UPVOTE, so Riot will see this post.

Edit: The mini-patch worked for me, just launch your client guys, it should work now, reply if you still got this issue, but i think that it should be okay ^_^

Got issued one penalty on first attempt. Rebooted

Problem popped up again after team picks. So I'll probably be demoted.

I'm about done with game. The seaon has been extremely frustating to deal with the way things were done. Add Karma gutting to 46% win. I hope its' my system, cause then it will be easier to leave.

Note: The game popped up to the end game screen and I could chat. This game has been nothing but grief this season.

Third attempt: Practice tool - same critical error (memory dump).

Same Problem here, and I use WinXP SP3 can NOT play the game since last patch.

I have the same problem, i was all hyped for worlds coming up. But after all the crashes i have been having just from trying to join games today, i am less than impressed. Looks like i'll have to wait a week to play again while riot figures out how to start games properly. And they wonder why they can't draw in new players, and the current player base has a bad taste in their mouth. Been 17 hours and no riot response yet.....rad.

I have this same problem again. Cant start any game mode, but the client works fine. Riot pls give us a hotfix. Im on Win. Xp too and i will buy a new pc with new OP system soon. If you no longer want supp xp, at least tell us in time. I can understand it, so out of date. But dont do it so "random".

Same here using Win XP, tried reconnecting 5-6 times before giving up, good thing that was just a co-op vs ai match...

Same issue for me. I am on XP too. Lost 2 ranked games and probably reported for leaving game. Hope we will be lucker tomorrow.

Have the same issue here. Dont know if you guys are having Windows XP operating system, but I do. Wondering if thats the reason behind the error..

Same here. Playing teemo in aram, my game crashes after 30 seconds of getting in. Running Windows 10. Infinite crashing loop, hopefully my team doesn't report me. I don't want to reinstall but after the repair tool failed, might be my last resort.

I never want to afk!!! It's clearly there's a bug happening to all window xp users.

I never thought that this would be the day i no longer play or endorse League Of Legends or Riot Games. It has been 2 days and there has not even been a response on the turn around time it would take to fix this. I have played since 2012 and have always had Riot Games and League Of Legends back telling friends the game is great, and that i love the team aspect of the game. But this will be the last login you see from a long time fan and dedicated player. Also, I do not have a XP os, the last 3 patches have all crashed my game after install for sometimes weeks. To better games and better times.

Still happening to me. Windows 10. Saying something about overlays and I don't have any enabled and completely removed Xbox app + game dvr from my system. All the other possible overlays are disabled and no enhancing software third party software is running. Made me lose lp and made others in my game lose lp. Waited a few days after reporting, but not fixed yet. Rito sure knows spaghetti.[slayer-jinx-unamused]

Anybody have fixed "critical error" yet? i have same damn problem here, wtf is going on i dont get this erro. Its like somebody kicked me out of the game all the time..... thats very sad ha?

it turns out NVidia shadow play causes problems with league. i had the error myself
