Game Crashed. And I got a Temp Ban

Okay, now I just want to say. That this obviously isn't a big issue, because it is a temporary ban. However. I won't lie. It is bloody annoying. I was in duo queue and when we got into champ select for our ranked game my launcher froze. And due to the fact it froze I had to manually close.

I log back on, and I'm free to do things as normal. As if I didn't even get into champ select at all, but my friend who is in the game says it registers me as still being there. And when he inevitably got kicked because I wasn't there and we go into a second game, it shows that I have a temp ban.

Okay so.

My issue with this. It is not like this is a problem, but what the hell Riot ? Your client screws up and I get a punishment ? This just seems to show a total lack of care for streamlining game play experience because I can imagine it would be rather simple to allow someone to rejoin the pre-game process if for some reason their connection is severed.
