Match History not closing Client.

I was on the client earlier, looking at a specific game in my friends match history, when I then left the computer for a few hour with it still open. When i came back, was invited to join a game with my friend, however, when i accepted the invite, the game details remained on screen despite me being in the lobby, it wouldn't let me close the details, even though i was able to cycle through home/lobby/etc. When queue popped I was able to accept however the details still remained on screen in champ select, obstructing my view of the entire screen, forcing me to dodge.
