Soraka bug (URF, possibly elsewhere)

Was playing AP Soraka in ARURF and noticed that rather often, my Q would just not deal damage. It happened multiple times over the course of the game (3-4), but i'm not 100% certain what caused it or if it isn't just random.

Do you think it's possible you just missed? lol. The hitbox is weird.
