GP Barrel Bug?

So a friend and i were 1v1ing. i was using Trundle, he was using GP. He threw some a barrel down and we danced around it till it was about to do the last timer before it was on one "hp", so i hit it, got the 10g but it did not disappear.

I thought I maybe got 10g for just hitting it, so we tested it by putting a barrel down and myself hitting it but nope. No gold.

This thing of it giving me 10g but the barrel not disappearing happened more than once.

Either I'm too drunk or it is bugged in some strange way... But might need to be checked.
