Entire system freeze after login

after the update on 3/17/2015, I can't play this game anymore. every time I log in to the main interface of the game, after a briefly delay, my system will freeze and I have to reboot the system. It happen again after I reinstalled this game. here is my system info: windows 8.1 CPU: intel i7-4510u 2.00GHz 260Ghz RAM: 8.00GB system type: 64-bit

problem solved after I tried to repair it. there is a question mark on the top right corner of the window once you are in the launch window. click on that and then click repair, it will solve it but after I went in the log in interface I couldn't see the ob system and pictures from the post I attached a picture to show how the interface looks like

If you wait a while it might unfreeze again...depending on how many other things you've got running or did until to that point

Ofc that's no real solution but until we know what causes the problem there's not much you can do. Ppl are also only guessing at what's causing the client to freeze and I won't sacrifice a chicken at full moon just to join at the "we guess what could fix the problem" circle.

Tried using the repair tool, it actually made it worse. Instead of not being able to click anything, I now can't move by cursor at all. Still fixes itself after a bit though.

It happens to me too and it looks like there is no fix that i can see, i log into the game and it freezes my whole computer and i have to reboot only happens with league and recent patch.

I have the same exact problem, but I dont get as far as the actual client, I get to the log in screen. It is completely black, not even the music is playing, so I log in and then my whole computer freezes up. Usually you can wait out freezes and they resolve themselves but you couldn't with this, I had to manually shut down my computer.

Same problem here. Freezes for 20-30 seconds but it's only the first time I log in when I turn on my pc. Updated drivers and flash but that didn't solve the problem.

I have this same issue on my Windows 7 PC. If I wait a little while 1-3 minutes maybe. It will unfreeze. however the information on the launcher will not load any of the images. I can still play but it is annoying.

Have this problem as well, been happening for a while now. It always fixes itself after about 20 to 30 seconds, but I'd prefer it didn't do it at all.
