Dont know if this is a bug but league download speed is rediculusly slow

Looked over old forum posts on this and I've tried everything from running the client as an admin to reinstalling the entire client and I'm helpless. My actual internet download speed doesn't change, but as the download progresses, the league client download speed gets slower and slower and flat lines around 120 kbps and 244 mins. Even for a big download this seems alittle excessive, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
