lulu's "W" doesnt cancel Ezreal's ult

I used Lulu's W to ezreal when he was having his ult's animation. It doesn't cancel his ult. He turned into snowman and finished his ult (i was using the winter wonder lulu skin). I don't know is this supposed to be like this, but doesn't it seem weird? i'm not the only one who saw it, my teammates also saw it. I reported this in the PBE earlier (cus idk how to report here). Some said that it was not a channeled ability so it cant be canceled. I post it here again because it happens in the live server.

ps: it really is weird looking at a snowman releasing ez's ult lol

ezreals ult isn't a channel. it's a cast time.

cast times by definition cannot be canceled due to CC. most spells only have a .25 second cast time so you wont notice it. however, ezreals ult is one of those notable exceptions to the rule where the cast time is actually 1 second long

It's pretty simple, really. With Ezreal and Lux you CC yourself for a full second with an ultimate, very important spell. Nami's ult has a lot shorter cast time. hence why you can interrupt it. I actually "mitigate" a lot of CC in laning phase with my Ezreal ultimate. Like when Taric tries to stun you for an all-in, I just wait as the stun is about to hit me and ult, so basically I'm casting my ultimate while he thinks he got me stunned. It's not that I'm not getting stunned, I'm just using the time of being stunned to cast my ultimate. Obviously, these scenarios are highly situational (you don't just waste your ultimate to be "doing something" while you're stunned). P.S: I once saw stoned Ezreal (hit by Cassiopeia's ult) ult and kill that Cassiopeia while still in stone form, simply because the stone animation is just a visual and Cass' ult is just a stun CC. It was hilarious, because the Ezreal had started his ult animation as he got ulted, so he wasn't even showing he's casting the ult. He still shouted, though, so it was a pretty good indication he's casting it.

Being close to Nami to interrupt her ultimate is considered a viable counter-play. Being close to Ezreal isn't. You should've sped yourself up with the W and just dodged his ultimate, instead of relying on the poly to interrupt it. Also, Nami's ult has too much power to be uninterruptible.
