Soraka Q - Enemy Recall Bug

Several times I have attempted to stop an opponent from backing with Soraka's Q (Starcall) and the Q hits, I get the health back even, and the enemy recall is not cancelled. This is not a last moment Q either. (Whereas their Recall is almost done and just by happenstance the recall completes right as the Q lands) This has happen twice now where I land the Q early on and after it does not cancel the recall I have to E or manually auto-attack the enemy to cancel the recall.
