Is this a glitch?

As I was playing a custom game with a friend, (I was playing as Chogath), the tower shot range indicator was going much farther out than it normally would. For example, The fountain's tower range was actually overlapping the Nexus. So I was just wondering if anyone else may have experienced this glitch? It's weird because the tower doesn't shoot me while I'm in this range. I guess I would like Riot or whomever this applies to, to fix the issue.
