Why do Honor decay soo fast?

I stoped playing LoL for 6 months or so because i got hooked on Overwatch, as i logged back into my LoL account yesterday and its honor level was LVL 3 at 2nd checkpoint "Well that it is not too horrible" Today i log in to my account and see that its LVL 2 Honor at 2nd checkpoint! What happened here? Why did entire level of honor dropped in less then 24h? I only played a custom game with 6 premades yesterday, so it couldn't been a 9x report from a game.

Honor doesn't decay. It was reset with the start of the new season.

Also 9x isn't a thing. Reports don't stack, all it takes is one when that is the case.

Season 9 just started. Everybody's honor level got reset to level 2 at varying checkpoints.
