Wrong Champion
Sometimes if you hover over a friend in a game and you see what champion they play and then spectate them it's different. e.g. I saw my friend was playing Wukong I spectated him and he was playing Vayne

haha i did the same yesterday but it said he was playing udyr but was really playing 
That could be the "recently played" icon, and not the "playing as" text
