Modi2 votesYou do know, the beta is opt in right? The client is in BETA meaning there will (likely) be significant bugs. If you wish to avoid this, use the legacy client.
Hizuka1 votesYeah so many bugs and still they implemented the leaverbuster which they know the client is still messed up because of the bugs, one thing the reason they implement the buster is theyre lazy to help us(players), its like youre AFK for 1 min because you took pissed and the system automatically give u buster for taking a pissed.....disable leaverbuster and fix the fucking game first before implementing that fucking buster!!!!!!!

As for being afk during a game or during champ select: why should you not be punished for being afk? Being afk for a short period can still have significant impact on the game. Besides that, in game leave warning takes far longer than one minute (I think it's somewhere around 3-5 minutes of inactivity).
In champ select, if the bans are done, and you miss your champ select time, that is, by definition, dodging. Regardless of the reason why you were gone, you didn't select in time. If it was only a one time occurrence in the last 5 games, it would only be a 5 minute low priority queue time.
