CPU Usage 100%

I have a situation where League will randomly cause my CPU to go to 100%. For example, I will be able to play ~2 games just fine, 200+ FPS, CPU usage ~30%, however when I start the third game, roughly 2 min into the game my FPS drops to 0, CPU goes up to 100%, and the whole game locks up. Any insight to this?

SPECS: Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 2070 Super 16GB Ram

Edit: Forgot to mention, if I close league as soon as the cpu usage spikes to 100%, the problem goes away instantly and I can reconnect to my match and continue to play as normal

I hit this same bug. Can't restart to fix in my case though...instead the game window freezes when it tries to close and I have to hard reboot. I also don't have sound in game

That's very odd for a game like league. Your setup should be more than enough to play and then some. Are you sure cpu goes to 100% and if so is league the program that is sucking resources? If you have any overclocks maybe consider stock settings for a day. It also might be worth installing league on a different hard drive if possible. I'd be curious to know if you had this problem in any other more demanding titles. It's possible your cpu is overheating... but it really shouldn't be if you have decent ventilation.

Same issue my CPU spikes up to 100 % and then went normal. And frame drop from 60 to 30-40 and back to normal within seconds but in fights this lag could get me killed instantly

Same issue for me as well! i have an i5-6600k, a 980Ti and 24 gb of ram. Its definitely the client using the cpu (before i started playing it was at 50% usage while loading). No clue on a fix for it though

same issue

sometimes i play 3-4 games and it doesnt freeze, sometimes i start first game and it freezes

cant go to task manager, everything else is working in background, i hear voice chat and everything but screen goes black and freeze

hard restart needed everytime

pentium g3240 3,2ghz 8gb ddr3 6870 1gb

at first i was maybe its psu because i have ms 400w shit one, and gpu pulls around 170-200w on full load, but no...

no background programs nothing, on idle pc is on minimal usage....

i tried repairing LoL launcher but no help there....

if someone find fix please help
