Friend received a gift message always appears on login

Every time my wife logs in to her account she is informed that the people she sent gifts to have received their gifts. They were from Christmas... over 3 months ago. How do we get these to stop appearing every time she logs into the client?

Have her click the notification bell on top right, by the username, and click X's there. That should fix it.
